Warranty Cover for your new vehicle

All of our vehicles are sold with 6 months warranty cover, at no extra cost. Our warranties are provided by Autoguard Warranties, and we are pleased to offer a 6 month Premium warranty including breakdown cover with every car and van sold. You will be given full information about the warranty on handover day, along with your warranty certificate. Yet another reason to choose us for your next vehicle.

Used vehicle history checks

Without a check of your vehicle’s history, you won’t know if it comes with a hidden past.

That is why at Hull Van & Car Co we carry out a provenance check on all our vehicles, so you can buy from us with complete peace of mind.  Buy from us safe in the knowledge that we have carried out the following checks on your behalf:

No finance outstanding.

Never written off by an insurance company.

Verification that the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and VRM (Vehicle Registration Mark) matches.

Confirmation that the V5 Registration Document has not been stolen.

FAQs about your purchase
I am part-exchanging a vehicle. What do I need to bring with me when I collect my new vehicle?

On handover day, please bring with you: your V5 registration document (often call a ‘log book’), your MOT certificate, service history (if applicable), ALL available keys, locking wheel nut (if applicable) and other documentation agreed at the point of sale.

What payment methods do you accept?

We are happy to accept payment by the following methods: bank transfer (please contact us for our bank details), debit/credit card, or cash (subject to a maximum of £8,999). Please note that, although we are happy to take a deposit over the telephone using a credit or debit card, any final balance payments made by card must be made on our premises using a PIN.

How do I tax my new vehicle?

The purchaser of a vehicle is responsible for taxing it. When you come to collect your car or van, we will log you onto the DVLA’s online vehicle tax system, and you will be able to tax your vehicle with immediate effect. You will have the opportunity at that time to pay for your tax for 6 or 12 months using a debit or credit card, or monthly by DDR using your bank details.

When will I receive my new registration document?

Once you have taken delivery of your new vehicle, we will register it in your name with the DVLA. Your new registration document will be sent to you from them, normally within five days. In the meantime you will be given, at handover, a V5C document confirming that you are the new keeper of the vehicle.

Do you offer ‘Drive Away Insurance’?

At Hull Van & Car Co we believe our customers should have the freedom to find the best insurance deal for them. That is why, we aren’t tied in with an insurance provider, and we do NOT offer drive-away insurance. Please note, it is your responsibility to ensure that your new vehicle is insured before driving it away.
